This method is used to measure thickness of metals by using Ultrasonic Pulse Echo method. This test is applicable to all such materials which will give a clear resolvable back wall echo like all metals and which do not have variation in the Ultrasonic pulse velocity in any direction. This method is applicable to evaluate in variation in thickness point to point. This testing is more useful where the access is only in one direction.
